"Divine Miss E" Returns to Vernal

It’s official. Award-winning Appalachian storyteller Elizabeth Ellis, affectionately known as the “Divine Miss E,” is returning this fall to VernalUTAH’s Indian Summer Storytelling Festival.

Designated an American Masterpiece Touring Artist, Ellis first captivated Vernal audiences at the 2006 festival with her stories of hope and healing. This year Ellis will be a featured storyteller at several festival events, including a special late night performance of Tales to Haunt the Soul and Spirit on Friday, September 23, at Uintah High School’s Little Theater.

“The thing I love most about storytelling,” says Ellis, “is that I can create an entire world made up of nothing but words and invite you to come and live in it with me for awhile. That and the look on the faces of people so lost in story they have forgotten to hide their feelings.”

As someone who was fortunate back in 2006 to come and live awhile in the storytelling worlds created by the "Divine Miss E," I can honestly say -

I can’t wait to get lost in story.... all over again!

Ever thought of becoming a sponsor of VernalUTAH's Indian Summer Storytelling Festival? It's easy - and we really could use your help. Just send a donation to Uintah Schools Foundation earmarked for the storytelling festival. All donations are tax deductible. Proceeds from the festival help fund teacher-initiated projects for literacy and library programs in Uintah School District. Couldn't be simpler - or more appreciated.
One donation supporting both a good time and a good cause.
